TLFC website approved as Chapters.ca affiliate
site, becomes e-commerce
superpower

Lordy, lordy - this is not a joke. Looks like the TLFC
has struck gold. Yessirree, every purchase made at Chapters.ca via a
link on the TLFC website will result in up to 20% of the purchase ending up in TLFC
coffers. This promises to become a great way to sponsor upcoming trips and
prizes. Chapters.ca will pay TLFC a 20% commission on the sale of
thousands of book titles, 10 - 15% on hundreds of thousands of other individually
linked book titles, and 5-7% on additional books, music CDs, music cassettes,
videos, DVDs, electronics and accessories, software, and games. Once
$100+ in credits have been accumulated a cheque is sent to the TLFC - as easy as that.
TLFC's humble webmaster had been purchasing CD's and other
items via chapters.ca for a while now when the idea occurred to him that,
"I wonder what this affiliate program is all about", followed by,
"ah what the heck, we're goin' for it! (to quote RomuvaRay)" and lo
and behold his application was approved. The cleanliness and
wholesomeness of the TLFC website and the 1000+ hits generated last month must
have convinced the powers at Chapters.ca to grant affiliate status to the club.
The webmaster has been provided with all the proper
registration information and has integrated Chapters.ca into its website so
click on the link below and start shopping. In
addition, Esso is giving away $10 (+ free shipping) coupons for Chapters.ca
purchases over $25 (expiring Sept 30). So, what are you waiting for, save
your money while making some for the gang! Truly a win, win
situation.

Fergie's Farm attracts top fishing talent
TLFC News, 09/06/00 12:50PM, By Lumpy, roving TLFC

It looks like an all star field will be attending the French
River/West Arm derby at Fergie's Farm this Oct. 6 - Canadian Thanksgiving
weekend. Another story-generating trip is in the works with more boats,
more food, more fish and promising more fun than ever before.
The current list attending Fergie's Farm includes past TLFC
trip derby winners and pro guides Mariner40, Red Rhino, Jamie and Willie.
Those big 'eyes wont know what hit 'em. Also making the trip will be
the omnipresent Nivla and Mr. Ferguson, who will be at least cooking and eating
most of those legal keepers and setting the tone for the apres-jig. Also
setting the tone will be Stau, Rikia, Ron and Bac, making sure no one leaves without a
spark in their eye and sore stomach muscles from laughing too hard. You
can also be sure Rimmer will be everywhere keeping all loose ends wound up and
landing some nice fish of his own - potentially surprising the field.
Long gone since last year, RomuvaRay will be making a cameo
appearance. In fact, he's guaranteeing a Muskie in the boat by trip
end. How about that for confidence! If anyone can pull it off, he
can.
New to this sanctioned TLFC trip is Cussciasparky and Kegger
who will indeed be looking to make an impression on other members and on the
leader board. Well experienced, Cussciasparky will be no doubt be a dark
horse for the Muskie prize. Kegger will be enjoying the Muskoka atmosphere
and learning hot new jiggering techniques from the TLFC old guard.
Elephant Man is rounding out the field of newbies and will be applying his
recent Romuva 'eye catching experience on the French. Another dark
horse candidate, he is known as the only TLFC'er to catch a walleye at Romuva
and someone that should be watched very closely to see what he'll be using.
Regretfully, Woodsy won't be making this trip and will be
sorely missed for his usual antics and stories. Also noticeably missing
will be DB, fishing on his honeymoon.
To catch the latest planning efforts for this awe inspiring
trip, determined to rival DB's stag, stay tuned to the discussion
board.
